The first pic should be me with Maleko on the left then the rest are me. This is my first ever deer 5th day of bow season, but my second season. She ran maybe 30 to 50 yrds then died I gave her 1/2 hour then found the blood trail in the dark. Everything went pretty smooth.

Ya it felt great, I'm 39 and have wanted this for as long as I can remember. I remember being like 8 or so and friends would tell tales of hunting with their dads , I was so jealous. Never had anyone in my family to take me so I had to do it on my own . Life got in the way until I made it happen. In Ct were I live everything is a pain in the ass , 8 hour course for bow then 16 hour course for gun. Now I have both. I actually wanted to shoot a doe, I figured my family would enjoy the meat more so than if it came from a big old buck. I don't see myself as much of a trophy hunter yet, maybe that will change after I get a few more notches on my belt.

Nice going. I'm in the same boat as you. I'm 39 and just now getting into this. I will be thrilled if I can at least shoot a doe this year. So anyways KimberGlock, are you a Kimber man or a Glock man. You can't have it both ways.
