I was able to take this guy at 35 yards on 11-10.My arrow was deflected off of a bush that he was standing behind causing the arrow to hit far back on him.I thought the arrow completely missed. After getting down from the stand racewayking and I took up the trail quickly.I found my arrow about 15 yards away and it was covered in dark red blood but that is where the blood trail stopped. We continued on about 60 yards where I heard him run to and there he was laying in some brush. This was my first time using a rage 2 blade head instead of my nitrons.I must say if it wasnt for the large cutting diameter of the rages who knows how far this deer would of ran.Im still not giving up my nitrons yet but those rages did do alot of damage. He was alot smaller on the ground than he appeared when I shot him but he will still be some good eatin though.I will score him after Im finished butchering him tonight.

Nice job dude - a buck is a buck is a buck, regardless of size. Well done, now go get another one!

PS - Raceway, stand closer and lower when taking photos. Makes them look bigger. :tu: Oh, and get out of the sun so we don't see your shadow.

Thanks guys!!Schultzy Im not sure if the blades opened or not on the branch but I did see a lot of leaves go flying so maybe. One of the blades was destroyed and there was no bone broke or bad cut in bone so Im not sure.Justin I know we broke two of the picture taking rules 1)Not taking picture from ground level 2)Taking picture in sun and shade instead of completely in one or the other. But I had to get to work and raceway king was late for a appointment so everything was rushed.Duke we have to meet up and have a beer or something.I want to take my hunting to the next level so I would like to ask the legendary Buck Whisperer a few questions:d .And by the way the buck is delicious.I made the back straps on the grill yesterday and they were awesome, real tender.I made sausages and used Cabelas Onion and Garlic Brat seasoning which I don't recommend tastes like Curry "yuck".
