I decided to use google earth and show a topo map of our area. The red dot is where my stand is. Two deer were shot out of that stand this year. The black lines just show the boundries.

Wow! Right next to the No.1 HWY and a big subdivision. Any plans to turn your land into a subdivision?

Yeah, pretty much as hunting season started they took the south east corner and started to move the dirt around and level it all out. I think they have 30 acres for now, which is all they get for 5 years. But I don't know forsure. It's my girlfriends dads lease. The north section of trees by the river is zoned for a future park, so they can't do anything with that. But I don't know if that zoning just covers the treed area, or if it includes some of the field.

the blue line shows where they are moving the dirt. It was surprising that with 4 of the huge graders, a couple dump trucks and other machinery working around that they never changed the deers travelling habbits.

Our season has been done since nov 30th. My bro never did get anything, but did pass on a couple buck close to the same size as the one I shot. He had a massive 5 point come into him around 20 yards but kept a tree or two between him and my brother the whole time and didn't present him with a shot, so he was holding out to get that guy. He just never got another chance on him. He still had a successfull year interms of seeing lots. He did shoot a coyote.

Any first deer with bow belongs on the wall. Nice job! Your dads buck is a stud! I have a shed that will almost match the side with the kicker at the base of the brow tine! Here is my shed I was talking about!

Yeah, both his and my deer have the curved brow tines, his are just a couple inches longer. haha.

That shed is fairly simular. You gotta love deer with charactor.
