So my year has come to a close and what a year it's been. I really tried to hold out for something a little bigger but with my trip coming to an end, I couldn't be happier with this guy. What a hunt and what a year. I rough scored him at 133 and some change.
Well, this year was Kansas. I have to say I'm not all that impressed. Deer population seemed low. I've been doing these DIY hunts for about 10 years now and the area I was in seemed to be lacking deer. In 20 days of hunting I only saw deer while driving TWICE. I only saw 2 shooters my entire trip. I did see atleast one deer on all of my sits except 3. Usually I see shooters (atleast while driving around) every couple of days. It was hard hunting. Made the buck mean that much more to me! I put a lot of time and hard work into these hunts beginning in the spring and my expectations are high. Thanks for the compliments guys!
