If I had the window open I could have pet her. Too bad the cost of sunflower seed is way up, she's not helping me out The pine grosbeaks were not happy with her.
Neat! How many steps up to the deck is it? Did she actually step up the stairs or hop over the railing? Looks low, but I can't tell for sure with the snow. The deer in my neighbor love all the birdfeeders that people hang out. Bird seed is too expensive for me though...
It's just a step up to the decking. Sometimes they'll jump the bench/railings, but usually they just walk right up the entry. Here's a doe fawn chowing down on a clover/alfalfa bale a few minutes ago. It shows the height of the deck.
This last big storm completely missed us (well, we got about and 1/8th of an inch), but with the privious two storms I'd say we have about 2-2.5' of snow in the woods. We've hardly gotten anything year I'm still hoping for a good blast, but it looks like we might get into the 40's this week.
Wow Fitz!! That is a beautiful picture. I don't think I could ever get tired of seeing sunsets that sweet
