Not sure why. I guess with everything that is going on in the world right now on top of losing a loved one, this seems to be sticky. I learned it on the guitar last night and can't stop playing this on YouTube while I work. I love it now and will hate it soon if I can't stop listening. lol Any R.E.M. fans out there?
I’m a fan. Country Feedback is one of my favorite songs by them. Check out the live version with Neil Young playing with them. Sent from my iPhone using Bowhunting.com Forums
I will do that! Lord knows I need to switch gears a bit. I play a fair amount of Neil Young when I gig with guitar. Love that dude.
REM - Athens GA (Hello). Also, some of the early REM music produced by a guy, just up the road, near Kernersville NC (Hello), named Mitch Easter. If you're looking for a tangent, you probably can find some of the other bands he worked with, if you're looking for similar genre. A few years behind REM, but one of the best bands I saw live (a bit of a flash in the pan), The Alarm. I saw them on the first stop of their US tour, of their second album, played to maybe 500 ppl. Played every song on both albums plus an hour plus of cover tunes and unreleased (a few 3rd album songs). Maybe the last show on the tour, was live on MTV at one of the California colleges with like 20k ppl. Course, the Ramones also put on a heck of a show.
Thanks for the reply! Music is always a big part of my life, but even more-so when I am feeling a bit down. I will check out The Alarm. !
Ironically I just listened to Rain In The Summertime by The Alarm while mowing the yard. Sent from my iPhone using Bowhunting.com Forums
My sister and I can still do the dance routine to "Stand", one of our favorites. Our youngest sister gets all kinds of embarrassed when we perform it so we've made a habit of performing it when she drags some new idiot bf around.
My buddies older sister introduced me to Murmur when I was in high school. Reckoning, Fables of the Reconstruction, and Murmur are definitely some of my favorite albums from them. Once they became pop stars they lost me a little.
