So this morning I got up early and got coffee with the GF. I just replace my rest yesterday and I knew I had some tuning to do. Started with a simple site in at 20 yds. Then walk back tuned. After that I decided to shoot some groups to make sure I was on back to 40 yds. 40 was kinda all over but my 30 was dead nuts. Started to broadhead tune and those were money. I tried some in between distances just to see. Good thing, I found out I have to split my 30 and 40 pins to get 35. Tried a broadhead at 35 and my confidence went up. Back to the coffee I had just finished it and said what the heck. Placed it on top the target (with a back stop target), and tried a broadhead at 35. Well here's a couple pics of how close I was. Just above my thumb. As you can see I just caught the edge with my Slick Trick Magnums. 1 1/8" cut They are still sharp after dozens of shots into my Rinehart 18-1. Best of luck this season guys!!!
Pretty good. I do the same thing from time to time with water bottles. If I don't pin it to the back stop, I'm not satisfied. Old CD's are fun to shoot at too! I try and put the arrow through the middle without hitting any plastic. Talk about tough!
I will admit, I don't shoot my broadheads at anything but a blank target. You have inspired me though!
