She just left my house a little while ago to try and get her doe, hope they move before the 45mph winds startup around they are forcasting at 10:00am.

She is aware o the highly probable tornado outbreak late morning? Things are going tiger real nasty, real fast and storms traveling nearly 60-70mph. A watch is currently being considered for the area

I drove over 1500 freaking miles to hunt here. I'm not letting a little wind run me off. Lol

I've had a 140"+ Buck walk by me, a 130" buck, a 120" and three smaller bucks. I need a doe before I can kill a buck here. There are no does left. Haven't even seen one. It sucks.

I'm about ready to drive back to Utah. At this point I'd feel guilty killing a doe here.

Ouch.... just got hit by a falling stick. :(

Just be aware if the weather. Rapid storm development in west central IL. Only going to get worse as they head east

How cool was that!! Pretty interesting how far they are seeing BB's being displaced. I'm assuming deer densities have a lot to do with that, not just momma running them off. Very interesting information!!

Looks like you lucked out on your deer, this guy wasn't so lucky. Not trying to highjack your thread, but since it was also a tagged deer

Edit, meant lucked out as in didn't have his luck lol

Thanks for sharing the news story with us.
I Feel that the whole thing was a real kick in the teeth for the hunter.
Deer shot by hunter cannot be eaten because of study - KFVS12 News & Weather Cape Girardeau, Carbondale, Poplar Bluff
I still cant believe , well actually I can, that our screwed up state of Illinois grants SIUC or any other entity the legal right to sieze any wild deer from any hunter that has lawfully tagged a deer ( other than a Conservation police officer )... U would of thought that they would at least reiemburse him for the tag:hater:
I have to wonder was the reason it had been so recently sedated the reason the meat couldnt be consumed & and the reason for the animal being seized ? Seemed like alot of unanswered questions in that news story.
I feel terrible for the hunter & ashamed of our DNR.

Amazing. I would never have guessed that a deer would move that far. Thanks for sharing.
