I am partially begging for help with this one, but I am also looking for any help someone may be able to give me with this. I took my bow to a shop that I have gained trust in over the past few months, I went off to a different college and was forced to find a new one. Anyway, I was having a fletch hitting my rest and so the technician moved some stuff around; one thing led another and we ended up looking at how it shot on paper. I am getting what he called a low tear (spell check that word), and he moved everything around (knocking point, rest, limbs) but I was still getting the same tear. He said that it could be my cams being a little off timing or something. At any rate this concerns me quite a bit and I really don't think that I want to be shooting this bow much longer if I can't solve the problem.

Any one know of a possible solution for this issue? I don't know what info you may need to try and answer it, but I can provide that info if need be!

    Thanks in advance.

Also to add to that are your string stops (on your cams) set on the same letter or number?

We are missing a lot of info.

    1. Bow make and model
    2. Draw weight/length
    3. Arrow/spine/tip weight
    4. What rest?
    5. What did the "tech" do for the cam sync issue?
    6. What's your nick height like?
    7. Where's your arrow in relation to berger hole?
    8. Are you using a kisser?

    9 what kind of rest
10 if a fall away, what kind?

I mention that because sometimes if the rest is falling too soon and the nock travel isn't level, it will result in a nock low tear.

Refer to number 4, lol. But that's precisely what I was getting at. Also curious, among other things, if this isn't a peep or kisser button issue.

As always, this would be much easier if we had the bow in person.

QAD's should generally be setup with the nock point 1/8 - 1/4" high from level - or with a arrow level, about half a bubble high.... I would keep raising your nock point in small amounts and see if that takes care of it... Also make sure your QAD is timed right. Your timing marks on the QAD should meet the last 1-2" of your draw cycle.... Also make sure your dloop isn't so tight you are getting nock pinch... The QADs also come with a second launcher that holds the arrow a little higher in the valley - which would also give you a little extra clearance. So I would check the first few items first and then if you are still having problems, try the other launcher...

Could be lots of things but those are the first items I would look at...

Is your bow a double cam bow? If it is when your at full draw there should be a mark on each cam that line up perfectly with another mark. If the marks are off your cams are outta tune and need to be adjusted. Some can be adjusted by putting the bow on a bow press and moving the cam just a little some have to adjusted using your cables and strings. This is the bisggest issue with double cam bows.

It's the same with a single cam bow.
