I checked my camera opening morning of the WI rifle season. I was pleased to see a huge buck on camera and sent my dad a text letting him know there was a big one in the area. 2 Hours after I viewed the picture, my dad shot the buck with rifle. Turns out this buck is also the buck that my uncle hit in the shoulder blade with bow 2 weeks before the picture was taken. (You can see the white scar on his shoulder) 161 3/8"
The broadhead was not in the shoulder. The hit was on the upper, thinnest part of the shoulder blade and actually broke through the shoulder blade a little bit, but not enough to do any real damage. The buck was up chasing a doe when my dad shot him, so he was most likely almost 100% healed 3 weeks later. Amazingly tough animals!
