Well last weekend I was on my annual rifle hunt, and pulled my camera that I had set out and got one of my best batches ever. But now I got some questions on a few photos.

Question 1: Is these two the same deer??

Question 2: How old do you think this buck is, cause I passed on him i think or one just like him, and debating if he is as young as I thought.

    Here he is:

Question 3: Does this buck look mature to yall?

    Thanks

Top two do not look the same to me...

Bottom deer is most likely a 2.5 year old... Look at how short his face is...

Pic 1 and 2 looks like the same deer to me. Both 5x5'. Both have the Left G3 longer than the G2. Looks like you can make out the faint split right G2 in the second pic. Same palmated main beam mass on the right side as well. Both have the same back and belly curvatures and both seem to have a bit of an overbite.

I'd also agree that 1 & 2 are the same buck.

I'd also venture to guess that the other buck is 3.5. His body looks a little too developed to be a 2.5.

No way I put that buck at 3.5 with that little short face.... just a well-fed 2 1/2 to me.

IMO......different deer up top. It's kind of a toss up on the age on the other. I'm gonna go with 3.5 year old. The deciding factor for me was that he didn't have that white eyed look of youth, also his short face looks blockier than what a 2.5 year old would. I just think he is underdeveloped in the antler department, he could make a big jump next year as his body won't focus on his muscle and bone development as much. Good luck.

I think top two pics are the same deer. I like that split tine, that's sweet! I would say that the bottom buck is 2.5,. Both really nice deer!!!

Thanks guys. Me and my brother have been back and forth on those top two deer all week and still can't make up our minds. That one deer's body looks like a 3 1/2 to me, but I just don't know. A mature buck in this area dresses out at usually around 200 lbs. if that helps to put his size in perspective.
