    David, what an all around awesome experience. Ive only killed two deer with a recurve and I can tell you I have never felt more proud in the deer woods. I couldnt imagine building my own bow and then killing a buck with it. Wow. Awesome.

    Congrats. When I was building bows, BBO's with reflex/deflex were my favorite bows to build and shoot.

    I've been shooting PC (pre-compound, I'm an OLD fart) in the 80's I built into some heavy recurves/longbows to compete at 3D with the compounds that were shooting 80-90#. Early season here in TX is hot, so I shoot my 70-75# bows. Soon as it cools off I drop down to 55-65#, so much easier to pull after sitting in the cold for 2-3 hours.
