Ive got these Cabelas carbon arrows, and they just dont work for me. the inserts come out, my fletchings came off. I used to shoot easton aluminum super slams, but i got two of em so i used the half dozen cabelas arrows that i had. which are terrible........ so i need a low priced arrow thats durable. ANY SUGGESTIONS????
i've shot carbon express arrows, not the top of the line ones, just the regular ones. i always thought they were a fair price and the last. i've never had inserts come out, or lost any fletching. i'm sure you cna find something that fits your budget and will shoot well and last.....good luck
I am huge fan of Gold Tips/Victory, but it sounds to me like you have a glue problem more than anything.
what is your length and wieght? if you shoot an average draw length of around 30" you can buy good carbon arrows one at a time from most archery shops to find out what fits plus they are already to go inserts and fletchings once you find what you like most dealers will cut and fletch put your inserts in the whole thing at a discount price b/c you are doing business w/ him/her. i dont know your price range but if you like aluminum the gamegetters are pretty cool but i tell you carbon is going to save you money in the long run i shot aluminum for years i just recently listened to these fellas and switched to the beman ics bowhunter .400 man i tell you they are tough! they are faster, more durable and wont kill your wallet! i dont know bout you but i'm a working man w/ a family and bills i cant go out and pay $180.00 for a dozen arrows so you have to hunt bargains and cheap prices like you would a whitetail,HARD! good luck to you
I bought Beman Bowhunters last year rand eally like them a lot. They are durable, fly well, and are very well priced. Heck, you can by a dozen shafts for anywhere betweem $45 and $50. If you want them fletched up and pre-cut you can get them for around $65 a dozen. To me, I am not shooting competition archery so I do not need a $150 a dozen arrows, I just need an arrow that gets to my target at 30 yards or under and blows through deer, and that is exactly what the Beman Bowhunters do for me. I also own the Beman ICS Camo Hunters and they are tough as well. Below is a link for the arrows: http://www.3riversarchery.com/Arrow...w+Shafts+dz_c58_s158_p210_i6773X_product.html
Cool, now we both need to put one of those arrows through a good deer this year! I shot a couple of does with those arrows last year and they never skipped a beat. I used the 340's out of my compound last year and this year I will use the 400's out of my recurve.
Im not so sure now, but I am 99% positive that the "cheap" Cabelas arrows were nothing more then a Beman ICS Hunter? It may be something to think about!?? ....guess I am heading to Cabelas.com to see if they changed them or not? haha
If the inserts fell out, the problem was with whomever put in the inserts, not the arrows. I'm yet to have inserts come out when put in RIGHT. At the same time, fletching is the same story as far as I'm concerned, if done RIGHT, the fletches usually don't come off that easily...... The Cheap Cabela's arrows ARE the same spec's as CHEAP Bemans....The better Carbon Stalker Extremes are the same as and ICS Hunter Elite, and are very good arrows. I've RH'd 15 of those Carbon Stalker Extremes 2 in 3 days when setting up sights on a couple of bows. They're more consistent than 99% of archers ever will be....
I agree with what a couple of the others have stated, sounds more like a glue problem then an arrow problem.
the point being is there is alot of arrows out there that is awesome and affordable you just got to find the deals!
Sounds more like a glue problem or someone is just exceptionally hard on their shafts or has unreasonable expectations, I have had absolutely zero issues with the Cabelas Carbon Hunter arrows, they have held up better than the Carbon Express Predator's that I tried., I know they include the Easton inserts. do you know if the inside of the shaft and insert were degreased prior to installation?
