Finally got the final edited episode of Hunting For the Dream where I went to Alaska uploaded online. Already aired on TV, but i figured I would share it with you guys to see what you think? I thought it turned out decent for the quality of footage we got with a handy cam (lacked funds to pay expenses for camera man to go along with us). So what's the final verdict guys? Also please help us out by voting for us in the competition. You can follow the link to vote at www.teamcovert.com and it only takes a few seconds and you only have to vote once. http://vimeo.com/9246198
Congrats, That looked like an awesome hunt. My dad and I are thinking about going for blacktail next fall. Did you have those pics posted on the outdoorsdirectory site?
Awesome man! I'm jealous. If you don't mind me asking, what was the total bill? I'm looking at doing this in a few years with my ol' man. Congrats!
mannnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnn! would love to hear a ton more about it! food yall packed, what happened during downtime, travel hrs etc. great stuff !!! wow!
Awesome, Trev. That second buck you shot really freakin piled up, eh? Congrats again on the trip as a whole!
I created 5 different e-mail addresses and voted for every team but yours. Just kidding, good video.. and I voted for your team
That wasn't my first thought (which was...that the hunt looked like a great time). But, it was my second thought...
Yeah Kyle, I actually didn't even see the buck take that tumble as it was over the hill from me, so it was a shocker when I got to review the footage! Guys the total bill can be viewed two ways here....IF you want to include gear I had to buy (I owned zero camping/hiking gear), then it was a lot more....BUT, since I've already used this gear hunting since then, and will continue to for another decade or longer (perks of buying quality gear), I do not consider it as costs for this trip..None the less, I did spend upwards of $1500 stocking up on gear but spaced the purchases out over a year period. The trip itself cost me just a hair under $2300, for 15 days in AK. Flights and tags were 90% of the costs. The rest was the food, pretty darn cheap and a few odds and ends purchased in the town of Kodiak. Much cheaper than your average 3 day midwest whitetail hunt, and IMO the experience blows it out of the water!
