I got a call from the builder. Construction has officially commenced so declared may 8, 2012. :-). The excavator is tearing stuff up and they are bringing breaker run and sand as I type this.

    Just some quick update photos.

The driveway is making progress. The cabin site is cleared and they are ready to start laying the underground plumbing on Monday. The holding tank is also getting installed on Monday. If everything goes well, including the weather they should be pouring concrete by late next week.

The cabin site. He just turned around from the previous picture.

The excavation work is done, the holding tank is in and the masons are on site to build the forms. They should be pouring concrete early next week. Things are moving along nicely.

I spent the weekend up on the land.

First, the cabin slab is now poured. The still need to pour the porch slabs and shed.

Next I got the new (used) trail mower out. It worked good for 2/3 back along of the main trail.

Here is what it looks like on the good parts of the trail.

Today I was able to get my hands on some 17' long telephone poles. One of them I am going to put up between two trees for a meat pole. The second I will cut to length for the driveway gate poles.

I have access to some Creosote which I plan on sealing them up before I install.
