Btw...nice avatar broski. Maybe if you do a little more property work you won't have to have one like that next year ;)

Okay, fine. I'll do some updates from the last year since you guys seem to crave them. :)

Last spring my oldest and me built a wood duck house and installed over our pond. We got it up too late for last year's nesting season but I'm hoping for some this year.

I built a 10' high platform for an elevated blind over the small kill plot. This way my oldest and I can sit out there and hunt the plot together.

It also makes for some nice comfortable hunting in bad weather.

Love that platform brad...I've been thinking about doing something like that myself...nice to have a go to spot with a bunch of room for when others want to tag along

We were up at our land this weekend to have some winter fun. I wanted to get out and hinge cut to give some food but I had all to do to walk 10 yards through 40" of snow to the fire rack to clean off the snow. So no go on the hinge cut. We tried to get much snow off of the roof of the cabin and shed with a snow rake.

It was a blast this weekend but man is it harsh out there with no snow melt in sight. No deer or deer tracks spotted.

I put the oldest to work hauling firewood on the sled to the cabin.

We got some play time in too.

How anything survives in these conditions is beyond me. Check out our 55 lbs lab
trying to navigate the 40" of snow.

You guys that are able to get into the woods and shed hunt and work should count your blessings. Will there be any deer left to hunt next year?
