Well had a great week in Kansas last week. The weather was on the warm side and a full moon but the deer were starting to really bump the does and move early and late. On the third morning of the hunt with several smaller bucks running does hard, this buck came in to check out the activity. I had to judge him quickly if I was going to get a shot. He looked mature with a great head gear. He stood briefly at 22 yards slightly quartering away. I placed an arrow directly behind his shoulder catching the heart. The deer expired 40 yards later. Not my biggest KS buck but a memoral hunt none the less. 141 6/8th gross score.
Dub, i was hunting out of Ashland, KS, Southwest corner of the state. Yeah, the hoyt is a real shooter.
Dang Kel... I'd love to see your trophy room you've already amassed just since I've come to know you!
Another dandy for your wall Kelly, congrats, you gotta love Kansas.. someday I hope to get out there in the next couple years!
