So let me lead up to the anticiated... This is the first time ever that he picked up a bow. He knows his daddy kills deer with a bow so needless to say, he was sure excited to be given the oppurtunity to follow in his fathers footsteps. The hunt began around 4:30pm today. He was finally presented a broadside shot at 6:30pm...yeah, I know, after legal shooting hours, but, we had plenty of light :wink:. Less than 5 yards and he made a great shot. Awesome buck, too bad he was half antlered, but a dandy for his first. I'm proud of him! So, without anymore delay, the success photos... We didn't have to track him far... Weapon of choice What do you think he will score?!? I think I have found my future hunting partner!
