I have a rule of no morning hunts until Oct 15 as it is really hard to get in without bumping the deer out. But after getting this pic of my #1 at 630 this AM I may take a chance at getting on him. I also finally got a head on picture of him since his velvet is gone I would guess him in the mid 140's which is big enough for me !

This curvy main beam 8 would look even better with the Mrs tag on him

Looks great Pat. How big are your turnips and radishes? Got any pics of them?

I think waiting until Oct 15th to kill a buck on a feeding pattern is foolish....go get him. Do you have any idea where he is coming from?

Nope. No rhyme. No reason. No pattern. This is the only plot and the only cam I get him on. This is the 1st pic during hunting hours. I believe he beds up in ours once in awhile as this plot is about 50 yards from the fence line. Most of the pics he is headed left to right which is into ours but at really random times. I really hate getting bumping deer walking in  I figure by Oct 15b they have other things on their mind and aren't as easily bumped off a property.

The 9 is still around and was still in velvet a week ago. Haven't checked those cams in about a week.

nice, I agree man... you gotta kill him while hes there and making the mistake. If you think or know you'll bust him out with how you have to enter then I dont know if I would hunt morning either. Good luck bud!

What's you plan...just to wait until Oct 15th and hope he shows more of a pattern? That's likely not to happen and the further it goes into Oct, the closer you are to his roaming further away possibilities.

I'd say you're better off going in earlier rather than later. If it was a prime bedding area...I'd say wait, but if he's not on your property all the time, than the longer you wait, the more chance that someone else will bump him as well.

The land he is coming from is about 600 acres that only 1 guy bow hunts. And he doesn't hunt very often and hasn't been out yet. Is 1 pic really a pattern ? ? I am going to wait a few more days and check the camera again. Thanks for the help Ben

These are some great pics, that is a going to be a nice wall hanger for sure! It doesn't look by the pics with the time and date stamps that there is no one way to track him down as he appears to travel at all times of day and night...best of luck though.

I say play the wind and go for it. As mentioned, pretty soon he'll have other things on his mind and start roaming. Good luck.

How many daylight pics do you have of him Pat? Is he patterned or was this a one time deal?
