How much shed hunting do you figure you have left, before things are too green? Looks like it is starting to green up pretty well around there.
In the North facing slopes I have a good month left. I am out of school TODAY! Off for the summer...So I hope to devote a considerable amount of time to scouting and shed hunting this month before I back out and start my summer scouting from afar. The southern facing slopes have 1 foot or more of grass in them and all the vegetation is on the brush.. So the souths are OUT.. I have yet to get to my elk and mule deer areas. I can shed hunt them late into the summer since its at much higher elevations were the vegetation doesnt grow as thickly My best year of total sheds was 99 sheds but of that 99 I think I found about 50 whitetail ... mule deer and elk made up the rest.. I hope to at least break my whitetail shed finds this year. The best part of it all is scouting all this new country I have never whitetail hunted before, I am finding some promising areas.
