    I know I'm behind on my gear prep for the season, but I am finally catching up. Today I got everything fletched, tomorrow I sight in, walkback tune, etc.

    It has been a LONG time since I have hunted with feathers, like over 10 years........but I gotta say I like these a lot. The wraps are pretty slick too.......:d.

    I do have a few fletched with blazers in case I end up hunting a downpour (unlikely), but these will be my primary hunting arrows this year. I also have one sporting a Slick Trick in case I decide to hunt one of my ground blinds with mesh in the windows.

    Final specs:

    GoldTip CAA 350's - 29.25" - 429 grains
    GoldTip Pin Nocks
    Bowhunting.com Predator fade wraps
    MeanV 4" vanes (2x white barred, 1x red barred)
    Rage 100gr

    RJ, them are some good looking arrows.....I am a big feathers guy, so I really think you will like them...I have a question for you, I have been building my own arrows for years and used to crest them some. I bought some wraps and gave them a shot for this years batch and I bummed the one I tried all up. Whats the trick to getting the wraps on correctly????

    I will tell you what TexasBowhunter, tomorrow I will make and post a video showing exactly what I do to wrap an arrow. Basically you need a somewhat firm surface under the wrap (I prefer a magazine), a steady hand, and I eyeball it to get it flush with the end of the arrow. They come out pretty good once you get the hang of it.

    Alright brother, I appreciate it...I have a table in my shop that I was trying to use, I got the wrap all jacked up and wound up doing away with that one and just got on to my fletchings....I still have the wraps and would really like to put them on at some point...I had them custom printed and I believe they would really look good with my feathers....

    NIce looking arrows for sure!!

    ~~~One question regarding the nocks.... what is the point of the pin nocks? I have always wondered??
    TEXASBOW~~ I use my couch cushion to roll them on my arrows and a mouse pad works good too!!! Im sure RJ will show the proper way tommorow!!
    I tried rolling them but I was on a hard table in my shop and it got all out of whack and when I tried to pull it and straighten it up, things went south...I could see where a little softer (mouse pad) might help a little. I will give it another try after RJ posts his how to....
    Those are real cool. Wish I had thought of the bh.c wraps b-4 I did my in a tiger pattern. I just did mine last week, and that was the first time fletching & wrapping. I think I did alright wrapping, only one was a little out of whack, but still salvagable. Texas, I followed the instructions on the Bohning wraps I picked up. I'm sure Rick James will come thru 4 U, showing how to do it.
    Very close to mine, Matt... In fact, I've even been meaning to pick up some red barred for a few years now as my cock feather...
    Sweet Looking arrows Matt! I love the barred feathers. This year I went neon yellow wraps with all white razr feathers. They are very bright. I shouldn't have trouble seeing my arrow after it zips through that deer.:cool:
    Thumbs up Matt.
    Lookin' sharp.
    I do wish Gold Tip would offer more colors as far as pin nocks go.
    Thanks guys. If they fly half as well as they look I'll be OK.
    And John, I flew the whole way to Chicago just to pick these up in person. :d
    They offer tons of colors including orange, black, flo green, red, white, and yellow.
