I just got a pack of three Muzzy MX3 100gr broadheads given to me, and I'm wondering if they will shoot the same as my regular Muzzy 100gr broadheads? The weight's the same but the blade size is slightly different. I know shooting them will tell me the story, but I'd rather not open them unless I know for sure.
Early, I've been on Muzzy's pro staff for many years now, and the MX-3 is what I shoot. Been really happy with the flight I get out of 'em... been pretty simple to broadhead-tune my bow with them.
I would venture to guess that, if your bow is tuned, you won't need to make any adjustments. The difference in shape should have very little impact.
I agree with the above posters. If you're bow is well tuned and you're not a torquey shooter you should be fine. Personally, I'd shoot one to be sure. Better to sacrifice a set of blades than be wondering. I shoot only muzzy 3 blade heads but I shoot every one before I take it hunting. I keep dull blades around just for my test shots.
