Do you have to have a heavier draw weight to shoot the magnums?

Between the two I would go with the slick tricks.
I've never shot muzzy broad heads good.

I shot standard Muzzy 3 blade 100grn heads for over 10 years. I like them a lot. I also like the blade retention better on the Muzzy. At least the Slick Trick Magnums I have the blades are held in by the arrow, like Exodus, which is ok. But mine are kind of loose and the blades can move until you get them tightened down. The washer on the Exodus sort of holds the blades in until tightened down.

No the magnums only have a bigger cutting diameter. The weight is still available 100gr. Or 125gr. In bother versions.

Ideally yes, but you really don't need it. 45 lbs of draw work well with the mags if put in the right spot.

Of the two, I prefer the Slick Tricks. Mainly from my experience the Muzzys have tendency to plane or exaggerate form inconsistencies once you go over 270 ish fps. Even at over 300 fps I did not have that problem with the Slick Tricks. Muzzy is a good head and design and will certainly kill humanly if put in the right spot. If your setup shoots them straight either would be fine.

I have used muzzy 3 blade (the ones that come on a 6 pack) they flew pretty good but I had some that weren't consistent. I switched to slick trick standards and am very happy with them. They fly great and group with field points out to 50 yards for me.

slicks every single time. I never really cared for muzzy but that's just me.
