I was wondering about the muzzy 4-blade broadheads. I picked some up the other day at scheels for good price and I was just wondering if their is anything I should be worried about them

If your bow is tuned there shouldn't be any problem at all. :)

I think indexing your broadheads to the veins is the most important thing I do when tuning. That way you don't have a 4th vein (broadhead blade) fighting the other three.

Just do a google search or forum search on broadhead tuning. There are tons of articles online that cover this topic.

How can you align 4 blades with 3 vanes? They would never line up. If your arrow's FOC is high enough, indexing isn't needed.

(Honestly with my experience, I don't think indexing does anything to begin with)

Are you getting good groups with your field points now?

If you are, go ahead and put together one of the muzzys using the practice blades and shoot it. See if it hits in about the same spot as your field points. If it's consistently an inch or so off the same way (like an inch high every time @20 yards and 2" high at 30...) then go ahead and just move your sight a bit so it's on. If it's off by 3" @ 20 yards or if they're hitting all over, or flying funny... then moving your rest or nock might be needed... or even you arrows might be spined wrong.

But shoot a head with the practice blades first and see if any tuning is needed.

I've been shooting four blade muzzy's for several years with no complaints.
