well i wrote a couple days ago that my muzzy's seemed to be very weak. i am willing to give them a try this elk season. i have been shooting them and they are extremely accurate and the hiss i got from thunderheads is completely gone. so accuracy and silence are my top priorities. someone give me something good about thier muzzy experience so i can be confident with them, while hunting mulies and big elk. thanks.

I have killed lots of deer with them...standard 4 blade 90 gr has blown through deer for me many times and stuck in the ground 4 inches on the other side...you will NOT have any problems with that 3 blade 100 gr on elk or mullie..or any other creature for that matter...I currently shoot Rage, but if I was going out for elk or mule deer, I would shoot either the Muzyy 3 100 gr or the Slick Trick Magnum 100 gr 4 bld.

    slick trick

well i want to use the slick trick magnum or the grizz trick, but those are about 25-30 bucks a pack of 3. i just got a 300 dollar speeding ticket, so....... i can get a six pack of muzzy 3 blade 100 grain for 28 bucks. half the price. i love the all steel ferrel on the slick tricks, but i love the blade retention and accuracy of the muzzy. thanks for your input.

I have never had a problem with Muzzy 3 blades. The last 8-10 deer I have arrowed have all been with Muzzy's. They blow through the deer I hunt.

Same here I have only used Muzzys because of the cost and availability. That's alot of deer and have had no bad problems with them at all. Pass-thrus sticking in the ground. I pull it out and the blades will be beat up a bit sometimes but the head and tip looked good. Never had one fall apart. Be confident if Muzzy's fell apart all the time they would of changed the design a long time ago. Be confident, shoot straight, no worries idaho!

I am a big fan of the muzzy 3 blade 100gr. I have used them successfully on more than 30 deer over the past 12-15 years. Never a single issue on good hits or bad on some pretty large bodied midwest deer. I will be using them in September in Idaho on elk with complete confidence. At least I hope I will be using them on an elk.

You cannot go wrong with Muzzy's. Every bow deer I've ever killed has been with a Muzzy 3 blade 100 gr and I got pass thru's on every single one. I've blown through ribs, bones, shoulder blades, etc. They are a very stout BH.

Now that being said, I'm trying Rage 2 blades this fall!

The Muzzy's of today are certainly not the Muzzy's of yesteryear but they will kill deer just as fast.

Sadly, I do have to agree with that. The old style ferrule was nearly indestructilbe. Now I do get a slightly bent ferrule on occasion but never a failure. Also, the blades of today are a little more likely to "wrinkle" a little if pushed through bone. I have yet to ever brake a blade or ferrule and that includes some nasty encounters with rocks and the side of my shed. oops.

I love 'em...my bow kills die quicker than shotgun kills and within sight.
I will use them on Elk in 2010.
