All dang Good Picks! I'm waiting on my first shipment of Maitlands to arrive before I decide what my personal bow will be this year.

I shot the new hoyt bows, elite bows, and bear bows (the carnage was pretty sweet) but ended up buying the z7 extreme. It all cam down to it being the most comfortable to me. It felt right in my hand and there was no looking back!

Dan, I actually picked the BowTech Invasion Black Ops for my huntin' rig this season!!! I'm still somewhat shocked that I'll be shooting a BowTech!!! LOL!

Very nice Bow indeed! When I shot the Bare bow it had some definite vibe at the end of the shot but that is easily taken care of with a stabilizer and flx guard dampener.

My personal bow this year will either be the Hoyt Element or a Maitland Retribution with VTR cams. The Invasions riser is pretty much the same design as the 2010 Maitlands. Rob refined the 2011's even more.

I am anxious to get my hands on one and see how it stacks up. The IBO is 340 and Rob says draw lengths are within an 1/8" so no cheating there.

I am sure you will Love the Invasion and the Black Ops is definitely the best looking color option IMO.

A bow that thoroughly impressed me and I think is going to be a real sleeper this year, The Diamond Dead Eye... dead in the hand like the BowTech CP line with an exceptional smooth draw and 343 fps single cam... DAMN! :tu:

I'm fortunate enough every year, being a full time bow tech, I get to shoot all the new stuff. Whether it's something we carry at the store or I get to shoot it at the ATA show. I thought these words would come out of my mouth, but the best bow I've shot purely based on feel and things you look for in a pure hunting bow, is the Mathews Z7 Xtreme. This bow is scary quiet and completely dead in your hand. I haven't been able to shoot any of the bows down range to test accuracy but based on feel that bow takes the cake. We also carry Bowtech and Elite, but the Z7 Xtreme feels better than any of those bows. I've never owned a Mathews, nor am I a huge Mathews fan, so this is an unbiased opinion.

If you're in the market for a new bow, the best advice I can give you is go to several different shops and shoot as many bows as you can get your hands on. Even if you don't think you'd be interested in the bow. When you're spending that kind of money, it's crucial to make an informed decision.

Dont rule out the line of Pearson bows, the Legend is a nice smooth all around bow with a very smooth draw and solid wall and no hand shock when shot and the new stealth 2 is just a beast!

I would say try the Bowtech Assassin but I just bought it so I am a little biased. Very smooth and fast. Easy to make adjustments to draw length without a bow press.
