For me its about being comfortable, and sense we hunt with in walking distance of my truck it would be proper clothes, some food and water, and a pee bottle.
Knife, rangefinder, my Real Tree Xtra SF Giants hat as the avatar indicates! Water is usually a good thing to have too. And speaking of baby wipes, the Dollar Shave Club makes these One Wipe Charlie's. Haven't tried them yet but I'll be taking those too just in case. Their razors aren't half bad and when I saw those, I had to get them just for the name. Surprised most of you haven't said your filming equipment. Seems pretty common for someone to have some sort of video camera now days.
if you are spot and stalk, then gaiters and good boots. water, knives, headlamp, first aid kit, paracord, trail marking tape, small roll of duct tape, matches, kindling, rain gear.
I have several of these lists made up. Every single trip is different depending on the terrain, time of year, species being hunted, length of trip, state I'll be in, etc... Too many variables to answer really. Many suggestions above are good jump off points though.
2 flashlights = 1 working light. 1 always dies. Fluids:dehydration comes on very fast for me and affects circulation. Smart phone, good knife, and the belief that a nice deer is always coming into my area... Longdraw ###---------->
flashlight that's it..im not big on iphones or any of that other tech stuff..i just don't see the need in having it at all...waste of money to me.
You guys are totally right on the boots!!! I went out yesterday with my running shoes and my ankles are still sore.
When Im down here in NC I refuse to go out without my THERMACELL but back home in WI then I won't go out without my rangefinder or phone of course.
