Outside of my Bow, Arrows, and Release I will not hunt without my Thermacell, we have skeeters year round just about it.

Am I the only person who has had less than awesome results with a Thermacell? I feel like if there's any sort of wind or breeze that it doesn't do me any good.

I only use it while fishing, but I have had problems with the wind as well. Whenever there is a breeze, I have to either movie it down wind or get ate up

See when there is a breeze I put the thermacell upwind blowing into me! :banghead: and it never helps watching movies with it!!! Lol

I have had great results with mine JZ! I was convinced one evening filming from my car with the windows open car was filled with misquitos. Fired up the thermacell and within minutes they were all gone! Never been without it since!

not only does it not work with any sort of wind what so ever but I used the earth scent pads on mine and I dot busted all day by deer one day last week even deer that were up wind of us
the last day I was out same blind same spot same clothes ( un washed) and an extra person in the blind and we had deer within 25 yards of us even 2 down wind at about 40

Besides the obvious stuff; bow, arrows, safety harness and release. I always keep in my hunting pack plenty of dead down wind, water, a snack of some kind, tags and license, and zip ties with a sharpie permanent marker for when I seal the deal!

I can attest to this! I forgot my arrows once. Didn't realize it til I got in my tree. Didn't go so well.

I would say my grunt tube (aside from the obvious). I don't use it a lot, but it's just one of those things I have to have. When I forget it or dont' have it on, its a weird feeling for me. Kind of like when you realize you forgot your wallet or keys and start patting yourself in a panic.

I carry alot of stuff to the tree with me and most would never think of these as essentials but...A good pair of binos, my smart phone, and my DSLR camera. I love enjoying the little things and sharing them with others.

    My hunting knife and boots.

All my camo, bow, arrows, rangefinder... that's just extra.

    I won't get in a tree without a harness.

Everyone knows that the only way you can kill deer is to have a ton of "chit"! If I don't kill a deer in a while then I come to the conclusion that its because i don't have enough crap.
