Not sure what the point of having a chemically induced, naked guy beating on an old typewriter in the video has to do with the song or anything for that matter but I really like this song.
I said I would not do it but I am for my wife's birthday. Dinner and a concert in the city. Going to see The Dead South at a theater. She wants to see Billy Strings in the Cities, Kansas in Waite park at the Ledge and Dead South Monday night.
The latest Bad Omens album has been in constant rotation for me since it came out. Huge departure from their first couple of albums, but I love it. Last week's Mudvayne show in Milwaukee was amazing. For a bunch of 50-year-olds, they crushed it. If anyone has been to the Rave/Eagle's Ballroom before, they have posters and photos all over the place with various bands and the dates they played there. Mudvayne's listed all 10 of their shows, their second one being July 2000, which was the first time I ever saw them live. 22 years ago is more than half my lifetime ago. Freaking crazy. I looked like a drowned rat when the show was over, and my voice was hoarse for a couple of days, but it was 100% worth it.
I saw him at Hinterland Music Festival last summer. He was way off the mark that day, but it was his first show since Covid shut everything down and his first show since going sober. I love his stuff, but there were people there from all over the country just to see him and half the crowd was gone before he finished. He looked miserable and sounded miserable. Some blamed the sound system, but I think he was just having a bad day. Everyone does. I want to see him again because I know it would be a different experience. In my opinion, Orville Peck stole the entire show for the weekend. I love his song, "Dead of Night". Check him out if you are not familiar. He is an interesting character for sure and has an amazing voice.
I'm hurting this morning. Powerman 5000, Static-X, Mudvayne, and Rob Zombie. I hopped in the pit for not even 5 minutes and got my old ass handed to me. Rob Zombie was good, but Mudvayne stole the show. Incubus, Sublime w/ Rome on Wednesday
The current singer for Static-X is Edsel Dope (of the band Dope). He's doing a pretty dang good job, IMO.
My neck is still stiff from being in the pit...LOL Some kid had a brutal leg snap in the pit, and his tibia was sticking out. Moshing on a hill is a recipe for disaster...(I feel like an old man saying that)
My son and I saw Sublime w/Rome & Incubus tonight. Incubus blew me away! Brandon Boyd was insane on stage with energy and killed it!
