Nothin here yet but temps are just right and some rain in the forecast the next couple evenings. Hopefully this weekend I will get my first haul of the year.
I just found a big morel under my back porch, lol. They grow there every year, it's generally my first sign they are popping good here.
The rain we got last nite should definitely help. If the sun stays out today and tomorrow, they should be poppin like crazy
I've found a handful each of the last two days, some were pretty good size. Here they are coming up kinda odd, mostly singles in a place where instead there is generally several together. Makes for slow pick'ns...
I'm heading out tomorrow to look, couldn't today seeing as had to work cattle with buddy that owns ground but should be a good day to look around.
All these pictures are popping up and making me jealous. We are a bit behind here in WI, but the time should be upon us now!
