I wanted to provide you with a story from what happened to me tonight when I went out to hunt in my ground blind for the first time. Like I have read through many of the threads. I placed my ground blind out in the bush for about one month so that the deer would get used to it and we would have a good experience. So my son and I went out to hunt in our blind for the first time. We walk up to the back of the blind and discovered that two bear cubs had ripped our ground blind to shreds again. This time, I don't think I can repair it because the damage is too much. We got closer only to find the Hunt Comfort Double seat which I purchased was ripped to shreds as well. Man, I was defeated. I look forward to sometime in the woods with my son to try and get my mind off of the hard year we have had walking with our four year old daughter/sister who has been in the fight of her life, leukemia.

Then the voice of our Creator spoke through my son, "Dad, it's only a $100 seat and $200 ground blind. At least we have the memories of preparing this hunting spot. There will be better spots."

This was a great end of a horrible night. This reminds me to enjoy the time we have with our loved ones no matter if it is good or bad, all are memories.

Sorry about the blind an chair. Sometimes the memories we make are not about hunting or killing. Its about just be out there. Good luck to you're little girl also. Next year she will be out there with you making memories.

Thanks for a story that kind of puts life in a different perspective, and remind us to be thankful for the memories we have...
