Nice turkey. Wish I lived in Indiana instead of Illinois. I would come up with a name for that mature tree, I think is an Elm? See if you can spot the human head in that tree?
HAHA I see it bud! That's a giant locust tree! Got those suckers everywhere in our area, grow like weeds and hinge great...some varieties produce thorns and bean pods that deer LOVE!
Obviously they don't hinge when that old and HUGE....those have been girdled and left standing to let more light in canopy wise though. I say those because we've got about 4 or 5 that size in that area of the property.
yep deer love em and farmers / ranchers HATE em! Believe only the thorny honey locust produce the pods One of my hunting properties I have is due to the deer spreading those pods around, the land owner hates it bad.
