Again, in my search for unique and one of a kind products on the web I came across a small company located in Mississippi called Muddy Waters Bow String Wax Company, a family owned and a American made product.
The owner started out by making “Firehouse Moustache Wax” and soon he branched off and created the bow string wax. This secret blend is unlike any other bow string waxes in that it works deep into the string fibers, conditioning the string all the way through. This wax works on long and recurve strings as well as compounds and cross bows.
I applied as directed to my compound bow string by pushing some up onto my fingernail. Put half of the wax between my thumb and index finger and applied to my string and rubbing my fingers up and down the string until it was worked in. This wax is soft and just melts into your strings. I have used big store brand waxes and had to rub the string till my fingers burned to get it worked in. Not Muddy Waters Bowstring Wax!
