I purchased the Muddy Vantage last year not realizing it uses a particular mounting bracket. You rachet the bracket to the tree and then place the stand in the bracket. Then you place your bottom strap. Does any one know if I can take the top mounting bracket off of the stand and somehow use the hubs on the other Muddys or Lonewolfs? Any ideas what I can do?

I think you should contact the manufacturer on that. Unless the documentation that came with it specifically says you can and lists the model numbers of compatible hang on stands your life isn't worth risking based on word of mouth. No discredit to anyone here.

You actually can switch it out if you have the other cleat like on all the other models. To be honest I would much rather the vantage mount vs the cleat. I have both the vantage and outfitter and I am considering putting the vanatage mount on my outfitter.

Is the Vantage that much easier for me since i move locations a lot. I hang and hunt in the dark, is this a loud stand setting up, I have never used it yet? That is my big concern.

Using the vantage will be a lot easier/safer to set up in the dark. I just put the mount in my pocket as I am setting my sticks, then when I get to the top ill attach the bracket. After I have the bracket attached Ill pull my stand up slide it in and then attach my bottom strap. With the vantage mount you don't need to hold the weight of the stand while trying to secure the top strap. If you are constantly moving around the vantage set up will make things a lot easier for you when hanging.

There is no spot to put the cleat on the stand once you remove the vantage hookup, or do you put it through the same hole as the hub that threads through?

Take the vantage mount off and put it through the same hole. It will just be a bolt and nut to hold on the cleat

So I just need to get a longer bolt and it would work just fine, just need to get a cleat for it.

I'm sure the cleat will come with the bolt. I have one I would swap out for your vantage mount but I think you would like that better especially if your moving around a lot

I put my lonewolf sticks on the back of the muddy vantage and it seems that with the way the mount is that is makes some noise from the sticks hitting it, even when it is straped tight. It also seems more bulky. If there was a way I could stop it form being noisey and bulky, I would probably take the Vantage out of my basement and use it.

I'm sure you could come up with something. Put your jacket in between them when you walking out.
