For 16 more minutes, Peyton is still a Colt. The press conference is at noon.
Honestly, I'm not sure what's gong to happen. I'm still in denail he may be in another uniform for next season and that this is all a big play on the media. It could happen. Irsay loves Manning. Indy loves Manning.
There has been a lot of buzz coming out of Duke University the past few weeks. Peyton has been there working out with the team. There is even video of him taking snaps and throwing. Rumor is, that is all within 30 yards.

Some of the speculation is that Peyton, Reggie Wayne, Jeff Saturday are all going to go to the Redskins in a huge package deal.
Other speculation has Peyton at Miami or Arizona, some place warm.

With a new coaching staff, I honestly do not see Manning staying. It's no secret he was almost running the show at practice and offensively during the game.

I also think the Colts can rebuild quickly. It may be a rough season but it sure won't be 2-14.

This may be Irsay sending the message that the Colts are his. When his father passed away, the league brought in Polian. Polian was stable, good and would make sure the Colts didn't go under until Jim could get his footing. Well the time has come. This is the staff Jim has assembled, and it will be all in his hands now. The one thing about Irsay, he isn't afraid to spend the money to get what he wants, who he thinks will win.

    6 minutes... I'm nervous...

Oh, and not matter what happens I wish Peyton the best. He has been nothing but a blessing on the city, and not from a football aspect, he was a huge contributor to all the children's hospitals in the area and even made St. Fransis Children's hospital into direct competition with Riley, one of the country's best.

IMO, anyone who doubts he'll be back in a big way next year is kidding themselves.

I would buy season tickets if he went to the Titans, and I hate going to NFL games....just out of the karma the Colts would receive for the past decade of trouncing Nashvilles team.

If someone like the Ravens signed him, with their D and offensive weapons NOT taking snaps, they would be untouchable...but there is likely no way the Ravens have enough to money to touch him.

If I was in Peytons shoes with all his money, I wouldn't be chasing a contract at this point....I'd be cutting a deal to start chasing rings. He is 36, guys like Lebron and Wade did it much sooner in their career (granted they didn't have to take MUCH of a cut, but they still did).

Reggie Wayne, also a free agent, would be a perfect fit for Baltimore. They need a deep threat to complete their total package.

Jets. Please. Just for fun. Plus he could save on rent by staying on Eli's couch.

He needs to get it over with and go to ESPN. He'd fit right in with his witty personality and his legend status

I think Miami would be a great fit for Manning. Talented receivers, Reggie Bush finally turning into a player. It would work out well for him. Maybe they could even sign Moss ;)

That news conference was tough to watch. He's made a major impact in Indy... football was just the tool he used to do so. Maybe his impact there will continue and he'll do the same or even more in his next home.

If he's healthy, I want him to be a Texan. I'll go buy a my first NFL hat and jersey.

I wonder how serious of a push the Broncos are going to make after Peyton?

If Tebow is willing, and I am sure he would be, who better to sit behind for a couple years and learn how to pick apart defenses than Peyton Manning. Win some games now while grooming young Timmy for the future. Initially, it sounds like a good fit.

It would be good for Peyton's ego too, because he never beat UF while at UT, and beating out a Gator would be a tremendous accomplishment. And no, beating Rex Grossman in the Super Bowl does not count.

I'm just wondering if Elway will really want another qb of that caliber in town.

This is all we need baby! Lots of reports of Peyton to the Chiefs. He wants to stay in the AFC and we have the cap space to do it. [IMG]

Well seems like everyone wants to go to Miami these days so thats my guess. But don't rule out Broncos. Killer Defense and one of the worst divisions in football. Playing against Rivers, Cassel, and Palmer?? Easy 6 wins.
