The only team Manning needs to be a part of is Team La-z-boy for a year. After that he should get into coaching for a living.

Absolutely Brett. I'd love him to prove me wrong, but the next active, successful role he plays is in a polo.

Two Doctors have given him a clean bill of health to play football...

Everyone who has seen him throw a football recently says he looks like his old self...

But i'm sure you guys know more than they do ;)

He'll play again but I'm just not sure where. Where ever It may be I have a feeling It's going to be a team that's on the verge of a SB that just needs that missing link, a very good QB.

    Ummmm ... no

I don't know where he will end up. But why is it like everyone is reading his eulogy? The dude will be ok. Hes still going to play and have a career in the media after.

Like others I think he is going to end up on a team he thinks he can help win a Super Bowl. I would like to see him on a team in the colts division so he can pound them twice a year. Plus he will do well after football. The only one you have to do the eulogy for is the colts. The way they have run things and put such a poor football team together only to have been carried for all of these years by Peyton, it is ashame they treated him like this at the end. They would have never gotten that stadium or the Super Bowl with out Peyton. Karma is a bit@h and I hope it comes back to haunt irsay.

Monster Raxx, Irsay is making the only move he can right now. He had a QB sit out an entire year of football because of a neck injury, and that same QB is set to maken14 million here in a short while. I would like to examine the statistics in regards to the percentage of full time starting football players that succesfully lasted the entire year following absence due to injury the previous year. I would bet that the percentage is very low and off the top of my head I cannot remember an NFL player that made it back at a high level after being off football for a year due to injury. Even though everyone loves Peyton, he is still part of a business that has to make the right moves at the right time.

    I'm with VS on this.

The colts are terrible and next year, even with Peyton, they wouldn't be a SB contender. The Colts could either A) Rebuild around Peyton for 2-3 with his questionable health and retirement inevitable within the next several years or B) Rebuild around Andrew Luck who has a clean health slate and a long career ahead of him.

We as fans often get caught up in what emotions tell us to do but, in the end, it's a business decision. :D

I dont have a big problem with Irsay cutting Manning and understand that it is a business. I do have a problem with the way that he went about it, and that is where Karma comes into play. Between his interviews and his tweets I dont think he treated Manning very good considering he built him a new stadium and got him a Super Bowl.
