I am debating if I should buy one or not.. I was wondering what the battery life are on the MPe5 was? I seen that the covert brand has detailed pictures and that sold me so I was wondering the battery life.. If anyone can help me out.
Battery life is awesome! Mine has been out in the woods since June and is still running strong on the same set of batteries.
Not sure on battery life on my mpe5's, but from what I seen I am not worried. So far they both seen according the the weather channel= -10 degrees/feels like -25 and worked
Looks like the two I ordered will be here Wednesday, looming forward to comparing these to my Bushnells.
A couple place to watch are ... Covert Trail Cameras | DLC Covert Scouting Cameras | Trail Cams | Seed N Feed Trail Cams Covert at MacksPW.com DLC Covert Products - Wing Supply
The one thing I don't like about my coverts is the narrow field of view. I have one MP6 black in an area that gets hammered by deer and no matter how far back I put it always seems to be too narrow. They are great cameras and I won't hesitate to buy more but I wish the could/would broaden the field of view. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
so anyone got updates on theirs? both of mine have been out since day one and I maxed out the low temp reading at -16!. But prostaff or not, this was a great deal and these little cameras are work horses. Great for up close setups in the woods. Dont miss a thing. Daytime picture are of course the best around I think. Only thing I wish would be a better night flash range, but really cant complain! Wish I got 4 instead of 2 is my only complaint!!.
The 4 I ordered came in Wed. I bought 1 for my son it will be his first cam. I just got a friend into cams so 2 are going to him and 1 more is being added to my collection.
I've had mine out since last weekend. Want to check it today, but will hold off until tomorrow after the storm passes.
I don't think there's an issue with field of view My guess is with the camera having a 52 degree sensing area and 47 degree photo area it is triggering too soon. I suggest covering about 3/16 of an inch on each side of the sensor to narrow the sensing area when set on a food source. For trails they work great without any adjustment :D
