Well I had my MPe-5 that I bought back in August because the infrared's stopped working. No problems there. Covert was very fast and friendly. Well I went to check my replaced MPe-5 this week and there was a green light flashing. So I opened the camera up and there were no pictures on the camera. Then the SD card fell out of the slot and I thought that was odd so I put it back in and I pulled it out without pushing it in to release it. I have already contacted Covert about it but I am a little worried because I just bought 3 more. I know Covert is a good company and I wonder if it was a bad batch or I just got the bad ones.

Weird issues you got with that camera for sure.Every cam has its issues here and there, Covert brand or not. I am sure they will take care of you.

Maybe take a look close at the sd card, I have had the little plastic piece break off around the contact points or the card separated on one end in the past.

I have two mpe5's and well... had them for a week so cant really report long term other then they work in -10 degrees/-25 windchill.

That's a weird issue. Dumb question, and not being a smartass.... are you sure its an SD card? I have seen people try other types of cards.

When I had a green flashing light it was low batteries which resulted in no pics for me as well. I knew they were getting low on the previous card pull but didn't have a fresh set of batteries to swap. I'm not sure what to say about the sd card problem, I doubt it's a bad batch of cameras though. I have a few coming in on Tuesday so I'll see how mine work out.

Had that issue one time with the SD card not communicating well with the MPe5. Great camera for the money but not having the communication ability of the small screens I've grown to love. Only MP6s/MP6Blacks/Red40s for me moving forward personally.
