Turns out it was a bad decision to start packing and moving to our new house at 530PM.

11 truck loads later everything's at the new house. Now to clean the old one and tomorrow's dedicated to putting things where they are supposed to be... I hate moving.

Yeah I just went through this about a month and a half ago. Not fun at all. Getting the new place set up and situated is fun though. But moving it all sucks.

The whole process sucks. Moved too many times and still have one on the horizon.

I hear ya there. I've never had a BIG move yet, just moving from college to home and vice versa. Here in July though, I'm moving 14 hours away to North Carolina and it's pretty overwhelming. There's A LOT of stuff, and we're trying to get everything there without having to rent a U-haul to save money. However, we only have one small enclosed trailer and you almost have to have an enclosed trailer to protect your stuff when moving that far because you're likely to come across some weather somewhere.

My solution would be to buy a bigger enclosed trailer, then once you are done moving, outfit the new trailer as your mobile hunting camp. Solves 2 problems ;)

As someone who moved 5 times in 5 years after college, I feel you. Hopefully this last move will be the last for awhile. I have no idea how me and my wife have so much crap.

Its funny how when moving it hits you as to how much crap you actually have. I was packing and all of a sudden "where the heck did all this stuff come from" hits. Haha

I seriously have no idea where it all came from. My house has 4 bdr, 3 baths, 2 living rooms, 2 dining rooms, and a playroom that are all fully furnished. The attic and shed are full. We can only fit 1 car in the garage.

2 years ago I lived in a 600 sq ft apartment! Where did it all come from!?

Moved through 10 different houses in 6 towns in 37 years. I agree that MOVING SUCKS!!! And we still have one box of stuff that hasn't been unpacked since the very first move. I don't even remember what is in it. We just keep moving it. I hope you get to stay put for a long time.

I feel ya. I hate moving. I've done it about 9 times. Hopefully I'm at the point that I won't have to ever move again.

I'm getting ready to move a week from Saturday. I dread it.

I lived in 11 houses within 15 minutes of each other by 6 grade. LOL My Dad built and flipped houses to supplement his income.

I moved from the dorms, to 3 different houses in my 2 years of undergrad.

I have lived in 3 places in my first YEAR of grad school....still in this place through the second year, hoping for two more now lol.

Unless something changes, I'll have to sell everything off when I move to Anchorage anyway, either that or rent a storage unit in case I return after a few years (I have really nice furniture now and dang near enough for an entire starter home)...

I am literally the king of moving at this point lol.

You must have it down to a science by now. The cost of a storage unit for a few years may cost more than replacing the furniture. I'm thinking I could build a shed in the back yard cheaper than renting a storage unit for 2 years for all my extra stuff.

My most horrid moving experience was starting moving right after work and finishing right before work the next day just in time to shower and leave. I was so tired that day I was hallucinating, out of the corner of my eye I was seeing spiders run across my desk....lol.
