First off awesome website, great info.
Well the time had come for me to leave a few of my other hobbies and spend more time hunting and fishing. Better that way.
I've been shooting a PSE and like what I see in the Diamond series of bows.
So I'm going to move from my PSE Firestorm X to a 2010 Black Ice FLX.
I've shot the Black Ice and the IceMan and I guess it's because I really haven't been in Archery that long to tell the difference but is there really that much of a shooting difference between the two. I know that the Black Ice is a solid limb design vs. the IceMan's Split limb and that the Black Ice is a faster bow.
I really don't know if there is that big of a difference or is it a "feel" thing, ie best feeling bow for me?

Second, I've looked into the Flex Cable guard on the Diamond bows and I'm very impressed with the path of the arrow once it leaves the rest. Is this something that is going to catch on that I should wait for other bows to start adding this technology?

    Thanks for the help,

    God Bless,

    Sean

I too have a diamond and love it. I haven't shot either of the two bows that you are looking at, but I know that on my brothers destroyer with the flx system that he hasn't had any issues with it.

    HS,
can't go wrong with Diamond. I'm not sure if your aware, but Bowtech is the company that actually makes them, and Bowtech is #1 in quality, craftsmanship, customer service, and breakthrough technology in the archery field.
I have a Bowtech Tribute, and bought my son the Diamond Razor Edge last yr. You will not be dissappointed with it. Have total confidence in your decision and purchase.

I would go and shoot every bow you can, I dont think anyone makes a bad bow these days,

but some may fit your body type and style better, it's a feel thing.

    good luck.

Thank you so very much for the posts everybody!
Right now I've shot the PSE Bow Maddness, And the Diamond Black Ice and IceMan.
Next weekend I want to stop off at a local shop and shoot a Matthews (sp?)
    Hoyt, and a Bear.
Then I think I'm going to make up my mind.
I kind of wish I could find a new Mossy Oak X from PSE because before I bought My FireStorm X THat bow was awesome but back then I couldn't afford it.
I'll let you all know what happeneds!

    PS

God be with you all, this most Holy of weeks.

So I finished my shooting Saturday.
So I'm actually looking at staying with PSE now, I got the chance to shoot the Bow Madness XS and was very pleased how it shot. I was also told that PSE has a roller cable guard so I was thinking of adding that to the bow later this summer.
I'm going to shoot the Black Ice and the Bow Madness tomorrow and make my choice.

Well I took PTO today to go buy my new bow.

Like I was telling you guys I shot everything I could.
And after a long debt with myself I decided on the Bow Madness XS.
I bought the 70lb version and dropped the lbs down to 63.
My draw is at 28 1/2, and her are the toys I bought with it.

I picked up the Trophy Taker Xtreme Full Cage rest.
    Micro-Brite 3 pin TruGlo site.
    3/16 Meta Peep
    Octane 7" Stabilizer
    Stinger Release
    Centra Sling
    6 Maxima Hunter 250 Arrows

Got the site rough in for 20 yards so the rest of this week I'm going to work on the 5-10 yard pin then work my way up.

I cannot tell you how much I like the feel of this bow.
It was up between the Black Ice and the Bow Madness, and I talked to many people about these two bows. I know that Hoyt and Diamond(Bowtech) offer awesome products that were very nice to shoot. For some reason the Bow Madness XS just seem to fit me better. By no means do I call my self even a "Good" shot, but with how forgiving and smooth the BM XS felt to me I could not pass it up. It was a very quiet bow "out of the box" so to speak, and needed no extra add ons. I'm sure I can make it quieter, but for now it seems fine to me. I am very pleased with the feel of the bow even though it is 28 1/5" axel to axel. I though that a bow like that would "wiggle" in my hand and it stays put quite well. The draw at 70 was very easy and wasn't a very big strain on me but I wasn't going to risk hurting my arm again, so I asked to have it dropped and we came to a nice round number of 63 Lbs. I'm having to re-teach myself proper shooting habits but I'm very hopefull with a few months of practice I should be able to gain my accuracy back, Lord willing :D!
I recieved excelant customer service from Ryan at my local Gander Mountain, he went through the bow step by step with me so I could understand the set-up process. I want to say thanks to everybody here for their pointers and the opinions that I recieved about certain bow types and their manufacturers, but my heart was won over again by PSE.

Thanks to everybody again, thanks to the people who make Bowhunting.com possible becasue without the help on this site I would have made a rush decision.

    God Bless!

Congrats on your purchase. I'm sure it will treat you good. As ultramax said everyone seems to make a good quality bow now a days so it was a good thing that you went out and shot a bunch.
