I was out scouting (glassing) fields the other morning..i ran into (sighted) a real nice main frame 8 that was just massive (150-160). Problem is that he resides at this moment on a private 700 acre preserve (unfenced) that has everything that he would need. My property is about a 1/4 mile from this preserve and i was wondering how i might get this deer (and others) to move towards my land. I know they will travel on there own when pre rut and rut start kicking in, but is there any way i may be able to entice him before that?..I know right now they are 'sticking tight' because like i said they have everything they need there....any suggestions?? or am i just having to wait for the rut and a lot of luck to get them to move??....

Well its either going to be luck of the draw and hopes he comes to you, or if you can, put out some bait and a cam if its legal and see if he will start a pattern. Do that for a while til your season opens, if you get him on cam during day light hours, you should have him in the books. Or you can hold out till the pre rut and rut and hope he comes to you. If you have a good buck to doe ratio I would think he will be coming in on his own...but I could be wrong.
