So me and the wife want to watch a classic horror movie Halloween night in the dark, you know to make it scarier (and so the little costumed bastards won't knock on our door). I'm having trouble deciding whether or not we should go with a campy classics like Halloween, Nightmare on Elm Street, maybe even Evil Dead... Or should we go with true horror classics such as The Shining, the original Texas Chainsaw Massacre, and Jacob's Ladder? Such tough decisions for this Thursday afternoon.
For me personally, I'd go with either The Shining or the original Texas Chainsaw Massacre...maybe even both.
casper the ghost! just kidding. You never go wrong with the original halloweens, that mask use to scare the crap out of me growing up, still is freakish looking!
If you are a vikings fan, watch them get crushed by the Patriots halloween night, it will be horrifying I am sure.
You got to watch Halloween dude! Michael Myers rocks!!!! p.s we are both equally pathetic that's what I'm doing too.
The Lost Boys - Good movie , good music. Won't scare you to death but a blast to watch. http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0093437/ Along those lines I would also recommend Fright Night http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0089175/
I'm watching Thirteen Ghosts right now, then if I don't fall asleep I think I'm gonna watch The Lost Boys. I don't really have that many scary movies in my collection and don't feel like renting any. Last night I watched Dawn of the Dead.
It looks like we are going with the original Nightmare on Elm Street because the wife has never seen it. Sometimes I question why I married her... And The Shining. I'm trying to convince her we need to end the night with a complete mind**** like Eraserhead, but it's not really working. Oh and I'll be drinking Dogfish Head Punkin Ale for the occasion. How did I go from going to at least 3 or 4 Halloween parties to watching "scary" movies alone with my wife in just 2 years?
mmmm DFH punkin is pretty darn good stuff... the O'fallon is quite nice as well and if you can get it Shipyard... we always blow thru our pumpkin beer stock before halloween so I'll be havin scotch this weekend... laphraoig quarter cask...
Amityville horror, even the new one was great, Nightmare before christmas between to lighten the mood, Hannibal, or silence of the lambs, Corpse bride to lighten the mood, 12 ghosts, great flick. that is if your not all neckin and what not xD
The wife, two kids and myself will be watching " It's the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown" Sunday evening before the Stillers - Nawlins Game. Sam Adam's Octoberfest for me!
