I was talking to my dad and a friend that hunts on property next to us and it seems as though the rut is finally beginning to kick in. My friend said he saw a monster of a buck heading onto one of our properties today, in the direction of one of our stands. The only bad thing is... I'm stuck at school and I'm not going to be able to hunt until the weekend . It figures the rut kicks in right after this past weekend when I put a good many hours of stand-time in. Hopefully they'll still be going strong come this weekend, because I think it's about time to be considering some all-day sits.
