Yep, got another Road King today. Pick it up Friday. Leaning towards Vance and Hines Basic slip on's for the pipes. Any suggestion from you cruser riders? Here's a few pics of it from the showroom floor taken with my phone. Will add some better ones this weekend.

First what I traded, a 2004 Road King Classic

Nice! I would love to get a bike but it is not happening anytime soon. Maybe one day when the kids get grown.

Sweet looking bike! I don't know how the older ones handled, but the new ones are excellent. Good choice!

very jealous.... I'm torn between a Road King with options or a Street Glide... ~almost~ pulled the trigger on a used 07 RK about 2 months ago (guy had a nice price on it and the mileage was low, bike was very clean), but I backed off last second... good thing as my wife got laid off a couple weeks back... in the mean time I'm gonna wait til next spring and see how things pan out... hopefully by this time next year i'll be posting pics of my new ride...

I had a Harley. But in true whitetail hunter fashion, I hit a deer at 45mph and lived to tell the story. So I am sticking with the bows.

    Fantastic Rick, absolutely fantastic.

Both bikes are gorgeous. I'm not sure how you let the "old" one go but the new one is gorgeous too.

I'm loving my Harley. The first 15 days I owned her, I rode her 13 days with two wash outs. I haven't rode her since Monday as it rained all day everyday since but I'm only working a half day overtime today and I'll be on her this afternoon to relieve some stress. (yes we're talking about bikes). What an incredible ride. I haven't had the chance to ride a Road King as of yet, my bud tkycaller has one and wants me to take her for a spin. Not sure I want to do that. :d Mines too new.

    Gorgeous bike Rick!

Greg, Bowtech Shooter, chance to see them again, post them up!

She's gorgeous Rick. I'll be cleaning mine up today for the first time. We have a ride tomorrow to benefit kids, the Geisenger Miracle Network.

I've been highly recommended to spray her down with Shout laundry stain removal, let stand for a moment and then rinse. (must do this in the shade). Perhaps then shammy her dry. Oven cleaner on hot pipes cleans them up but yours will be new. :d

Share some more photos please.

    Any other planned changes?

I would never put that stuff on mine Rob, just me I guess. I don't like even hosing it down, hate the rain even more so I use some stuff Harly has (like a detail spray and wipe wax) before it ever needs washing, can use it on everything encluding the windshield, mirrors, crome and all. I don't have any now but will be picking some up tomorrow and let you know what the name of it is.
As per your request I will get some pics up after Church today.
Greg, I put Vance and Hines on. Put the big air filter on and tried to download a map to the power commander but can't get it work so a computer savey work buddy will do it tomorrow at work for me.

I never heard of using Shout! on bikes before and I work for the company that makes it! I've been using a mild detergent and warm water for the wheels and spokes then Windex (we make also) for the paint and chrome followed by Meguires spray wax. I have a friend that runs a detail shop and he sells a product that he says you can use on the whole bike. I will be getting some of it this week and will let you know what it is and how it works.

Rick, big air filter? The one that goes under the stock cover or the SE heavy breather? Also, did you buy the power commander? I think that they are only good for one bike and go by vin number. I bought the SERT, you need one of those devices in order to change programs. I have never tried just downloading a program, I always get them dyno tuned. Nothing but good things to say about that type of tune. They run flawless with no decell popping.

Please show us some more pics!

Greg, yes I bought the Power Commander, had one one my Ultra Classic also and had it tuned on a dyno. This one you can load the software on the computer and pick the map then load it to the Commander. IThe bike reverts back to factory if removed. Really don't need it on the 09's as a download from the dealer would work but if I ever changed pipes I'd have to get another download at $150. The PC cost $280
The air filter is The Stage 1 Big Sucker by Aris.
Here's a few pics after getting it home and cleaned up after the ride home in the pouring rain.
