    Thanks hoyt.
If you want one done it only costs about $15 for material. I would be more then happy to do the work for free. It gives me something to do while I am sittin at home.

Looks pretty good, I should have sent you mine because it turned out bad. I bought the kit from a taxidermist and it wasn't designed for use on a 180 class buck. The gold decorative braided rope was a good 1 or 2" short of going around the antlers. I also had to modify those holes in that plastic cover and the pre slit openings are now visible if you look closely.Yours turned out very nice!

take off the rope and go to michael's or hobby lobby you can buy the rope by the yard there. I painted the skull and pedical bases black then wrapped them in black tape. I had to modify the holes too but with the tape and the paint you cant tell unless you are holding them in your hands. They do sell a kit for that big of a rack you just have to measure the space between the peds. All I ordered was the caps I made the plaques and bought the nails at home depot.
    Are you in Illinois?

I think they look great Mike.

I have to ask everyone though.. just because I have often thought of this..

Do you think people in Colorado have mounting plaques in the shape of their home state?

Cause.. ya know.. it's just a rectangle. I feel like I can make that.

Looks good Mike. Keep up the good work! I would have no problems hanging something like that on my wall.

That looks pretty awesome, love the state theme! Any suggestions on a plaque for making the Deer Hoof coat racks? I've used the mailbox number plates that you can buy at home depot in the past....looking for a new idea for this years though.

Honestly, I'm not a fan of mounting plaques in some cases, typically in referenc to a shoulder mount... but those look awesome man.

How long does it take to make one? Is it possible for you to make it to where people only had to glue the antlers in? It would be a pretty neat thing to sell it finished and all that was left is to install the horns.

I would make 4 arrow head like the one that I made that looks like an arrow was shot right through them.
Then it would all be connected and you can spce them how ever you wanted.
probably stager the hieghts of them so its not so plain looking.
let me know if you want me to make a pattern for you or if you buy the wood I make the plaque and hume it so it looks old and weatherd maybe make a stone arrow head to put on it and real feathers for the fletchings too.
