Mountain Lion???

    I can see both argumements. It looks like a lion but I am leaning towards deer with something in the background due to it being out in the wide open daylight with another deer right there.

    They're all deleted, I should have kept them longer. That tail wasn't there in any other pics. There was something wiggling on the ground a couple pics before those right where the critter has the face in the ground.

    I also checked on Missouri DOC website and they had a confirmed case in the same county in January. I reported it to them. We'll see what happens.

    Cool picture either way!! My first thought was a back leg (of a deer) but as I kept looking I think it could be a mountain lion.

    At first It looked like a lion but to me it looks more like a coyote.

    Just clicked through the photos in windows photo viewer, the head of the animal does move ever so slightly. That totally eliminates prank.
    You might be on to something with the fawn Jake. There seems to be more there about the same color at the face of the critter.

    Given time of day and the fact that the doe is standing right there...im going with deer...need more evidence to suggest otherwise

    Legs look too long, tail too short. Maybe coyote?

    My opinion deer with something "stick" or other causing the black tail like feature behind it.

    The whole midsection of "it" screams deer to me. The tail could convince me otherwise but I'm sure it's some sort of optical iliusion.

    it looks like a lion but hte tail doesnt seem to mate up with its *** quite right. Hard to tell.
