Anyone tried any of these? I have a few, but need to pick up some extras before I head out...just curious what flavors you guys would reccomend from experience? I can eat just about anything, but prefer good flavor over the alternative.:D Fixing to order in the next day or two, so anyone have any last minute suggestions?

I've only had two of them that were Mountain House... the Stroganoff was good and the Sweet and Sour "Surprise" was... not good, not good at all. I should have eaten the package instead.

Like Dubs said, Stroganoff was good, as well as Chicken A La King and Turkey Tetrazzini.

The only breakfast one I had was Scrambled eggs....not good. :(

MRE's will totally lock you up. They are good if you can stand taking a dump once every four days. Choose your poison or just pack regular food.

lol, yes and I LOVE it... :D

I like how Buckeye likes us to think he lives on peanut butter, granola bars and Chefboyardee only at camp... Probably because he can't microwave burritos like he does at home, I think that would be the only change.

They're also much heavier than the Mountain House meals.

Thanks for the possibilities. MREs are not an option for me, as I don't want to be packing in the water weight. If I am eating one of these not home cooked meals, I atleast want it to be very lightweight. These are basically MREs without the water.

I have I think 4 stroganoff left, and apparently a few wasted sweetnsour left as well, lol. Ill try that turkey whatever and chicken a la king. Don't worry about breakfast, I am NOT a breakfast eater whatsoever, but while out there I will force myself to eat a pack of poptarts each morning. High calorie/weight and loaded with carbs. might also take a few mornings of the cereal/powdered milk packs.

Buckeye, don't worry I literally have a small backpack of granola bars, lol. My menu will basically be poptarts for breakfast, jerky trailmix and energy/granola bars throughout day, and a MH meal at night. I'll likely through in a few tuna packets/tortilla rolls for lunch a few days to spice things up

I think my exact quote while eating a blueberry granola bar at the G2G football event was "These are the greatest things i have ever eaten" :D

wow, I am picking up some of those packs on my next order then, who could pass up a vote of confidence like that? These things have nearly as many calories as the dang dinners do too.
