Why would you guys say the Red40 is better than the Black60? I would think for sure a higher price tag means a better camera. What makes it better? I was about ready to drop on a Black 60 just this past weekend.

It is my opinion the Red 40 takes better night pictures than the Black 60 That is the only reason I say the Red 40 is better. Personally I am all about picture quality.

The Black 60 is very poplar as it is invisible when triggered.

Wing supply had a good deal going a week or so back on a red40, but honestly it's already a cheap camera for its quality.

I don't care much for picture quality itself tho so I instead have been buying MP6s for less and getting essentially the same performance minus the picture clarity (still 5mp)

Yea the Red40 does look a bit crisper than the Black 60, but I wouldnt be displeased with either of those pictures. Have you guys seen a lot of deer noticing your red lights of your flash? I have a Moultrie M80 from last year and Ive only noticed a few deer looking at the infrared LEDs. Not many at all, but it would have to be a perfect straight on shot of the deer and he/she would have to be looking forward at the camera when it went off. Thats the only reason why I was considering the black flash of the Black60.

(not sure who here is on other forums)

Friday I ordered from wingsupply.com a heck of a deal on a m80blx, security box, and sd card for $135 shipped(was $150 but I had a coupon code).

Tuesday they got a hold of me and said they made a mistake and put the m80blx on sale when they didnt have any in stock. So me and 3 other known people(2 friends of mine and a guy online) who ordered the m80blx got offered a "Covert black 60, sercurity box, sd card"for the same price ($135 shipped)!

So I think that is more then a heck of a deal!! I been doing my homework on the black 60 and am real excited to get the camera!.

I am a big moultrie guy and like my 2011 m80, 2007/2009 i40' still on trees and was a fan of the m80blx with motion freeze and still think very highly of it.

So at least I know there are many Covert guys on these camera forums willing to help me out if need be. :) Thanks in advance.

They will notice the red blob for sure and it's even worst in video mode where they stay on for seconds at a time. Personally I use all blackflash and have notice a major difference. The deer where I hunt will run for the next county with a red blob cam.

x2 black flash is the way to go for me,my red flash cams are now set over 7 feet off the ground anymore and I even have covered or altered the flash on many of them that i have left. cams in video mode or multi flash mode send my deer running.
