Anybody have ANY idea of how many "technicians" are employed at Moultrie? I need a replacement LCD screen for my camera, called Customer Service yesterday, the polite Asian lady said for 14.99 they could send me a new one(out of warranty) So I'm like cool, hook me up. So she transfers me to sales, where I have been on hold for over an Hour at various time, including about 30 minutes this morning... How many people could possibly be calling one company? If so, how many people are answering these calls, It's ridiculous and I am a very patient person. I'll likely never by another moultrie camera because of this issue, CS is a big deal to me. I even called the CS line and talked to the Asian lady again, she blew me off and transferred me back to sales and told me not to hang up. The automated voice on the hold line says call back later if you've waiting longer than 15 minutes, and to go to there website. Well If I could purchase a little $15 screen online I would. I only have 1000 minutes each month... :D Errr. Rant over.... for now.
I'll never buy another Moultrie camera because of, well.....they're Moultries and junk. I had the LCD screen go out on 5 of the 6 of them I had. Never replaced them, just turned them on and let them take pics. After just over a year of owning those 6, only one of them worked at all. When I hear someone say they bought a Moultrie, I cringe. Can you tell what I think of Moultrie cameras? :D
I hear you with Moultrie. I would never buy another one of their cameras just for the reason their cameras reliability is terrible from my experience. I have had two of them and they have been nothing but problems for me.
Dan, I've been using mine without the lcd for 2 seasons I think, Just remembering what buttons to press to make it work, and I thought for $15, I cant go wrong to have a fully operating camera, other than the broken strap mounts on the back... But after all of this, I believe I will look elsewhere... Finally got through, 36minutes of Solid wait time this morning and it's on it's way, I'm glad I ranted on here, and not the nice lady on the other end of the line, although I wanted to tell her how I really felt. lol. But hopefully I'll have 2 moultries to get me through the season, and next year, I can freshen up my arsenal.
My brother (Siman08/OH) sent his in 3 times and got another one back that was already broken, he gave up just like you.
The cameras that have the flip up style lids have been the junk ones for me. I have two D series that only the flash has gone out on one after a year, but I think I may have had something to do with it. I just got an M-80, the "mini" style. I do think their firmware updates on new cameras has improved through the years. I have never dealt with customer service or the hassels or returning a camera.(KNOCK ON WOOD)
LMAO my thoughts exactly. I understand we are dealing with electronics, and longevity in the elements (which the two do not go together), but they are so junkie I don't even know where to begin. Every electronics company will occasionally have a bad batch of cameras. The good companies will make right and replace them. I have yet to see a GOOD batch of cameras from ole Moultrie! lol
The best thing about a moultrie cam if someone steals it they will bring it back after the second set of battery's and no deer pics. I have three of the junk pos.
My moultrie has been decent, it's dead now though. My neighbor has had the same one for 10 years but it just died. I'm in the market for a new one. Bushnell hasn't been that great to me either, however, the customer service has been absolutely great. I had one for like 10 months, it died, they sent me a new trophy cam, it had a sensor issue, and then they sent me another trophy cam. I started with a $70 walmart special and now have a $199 trophy cam, no questions asked. I don't like they broke, but I understand things happen.
