What are your thoughts on the Moultrie M 60 trail camera ? A buddy of mine has it and was having problems with it so he said if i could get it straightened out I could use it this season. Do any of you use this camera and if so what do you think.

He said it would take pictures sometimes and then sometimes wouldn't. He said he would leave it out for a couple of weeks at a time and wouldn't have but maybe ten or fifteen pictures on it.

I put some fresh batteries in it and set it up exactly how the manual says and every time I walked in front of it it activated and took a picture. I'm going to leave it out a week over my corn pile that I know something is eating and see what results I have. I hope to join in with the other guys on here posting pictures of nice bucks soon !

I have three M-80s and absolutely love them. Of course, there are always bad eggs in production. This could potentially be one, or your buddy doesnt know what he is doing.

yeah it crossed my mind that there just wasnt anything to take pictures of. I have hunted the property that he had the camera on when it wouldn't work and saw a ton of deer, so i know it may be a possibilty but i dont feel like that is the case. I think it is more he just did not have it set up right. anyway i'll know middle of next week hopefully whether i have it set up right or not. Thanks for all the input so far and for those with the M 60 please feel free to post up some pictures from it in this thread ! Heck even if you dont have an M 60 feel free, I like seeing deer :)

It could be a bad one out of a batch I have gotten one before but it was a Bushnell, you can also try resetting the camera if u still has problems. All you do to reset it is take the batteries and sd card out and leave the camera turned on for at least 15 minutes it will drain out any memory on it

Oh okay. Be sure to update me when you do I'm interested to see how it will effect battery life as well as the quality of the video.

I just joined the site...I know I am way late for your question.........I have a M60 and had similar problems when I first got the camera....

"Make sure you clear all the pictures from the previous use before you put camera back up!!!!"

camera software won't overwrite / erase-replace old file with new file
